I was reading the earnersforum yesterday and find out this topic on what to do with $50 to promote a tutorial site. First, I wanted to write an answer, but figured out the topic could very well be a blog post.
I have recently tested the opportunity of creating Photoshop Tutorial sites. Still, I had two big problems: I had no idea of Photoshop (resizing an image and saving it for the Web is not really rocket science, isn’t it?) and I had no idea where to promote such a site, since there were a lot of similar sites all over the web.
After some searching through the topics at Sitepoint forums, I have found that:
The sites that are worthy of mentioning, in my opinion, from a two months test experience (I spent about $30-40 and got a return of around $150 without any optimization on page, any Adsense optimization aso. Just a simple free Wordpress theme on the Wordpress.org script. ) were only 3. After those 2 months, I got bored. Yeah, it is true that you have to write about things you like and know when blogging :) . My cousin, that knows Photoshop, has made his own site that was bringing around $450/month in 6 months (he sold it at that point). I have included in this article both his and mine experiences. Note: bear in mind that I bought the tutorials really cheap (around $5).
So, which are the sites that really worth submitting tutorials to (by regard of traffic, of course, and IBL):
There were a lot more sites where you can put your tutorials, but these were the ones that actually got out of the crowd.

3 tips:
The conclusion: if you like Photoshop or want to learn some, create a site like that. You will both have a hobby and earn some good money along the way. Even if you do not create the tutorials yourself, but you know how to use Photoshop, it will be a great advantage, because you will know which are quality tutorials and which not.

The two crawlers are separate, but they do share a cache. We do this to avoid both crawlers requesting the same pages, thereby helping publishers conserve their bandwidth. Similarly, the Sitemaps crawler is separate.
Ca urmare, avem doua lucruri:
Concluzia? Incercati sa puneti Adsense pe o pagina, sa vedeti ce repede v-o citeste GoogleBot (pana la 48 de ore, zic ei pe site, dar in general vine dupa 10-15 minute). Este adevarat, mai e mult pana la indexare, dar macar motorul isi face datoria 🙂

Google has finally launched Adsense Site Diagnostics. Some people announced it earlier, but it was only a test, since the option was soon to be taken off the Adsense Control Panel.
However, today I was able to see it in action, so I took a screenshot (see it below, click on it for a bigger image)

Google a introdus o noua optiune utilizatorii Adsense: Site Diagnostics, care iti arata daca un site de-al tau are sau nu probleme la afisarea Adsense. Eu nu am, se pare, nici o problema, dar daca cineva are= , as vrea sa vad si eu un screenshot.

Nu am idee cat de mult te poate ajuta, dar macar pentru incepatori este in mod sigur o unealta utila, pentru ca poti fi sigur ca, in cazul in care ceva nu merge, nu este de la o problema cu site-ul.
Opiniile bloggerilor incep sa conteze. In Evenimentul Zilei apare un articol cu opiniile catorva bloggeri despre proiectul Mari Romani al TVR.

In Romania, Movable Type, TypePad samd (produsele SixApart) nu sunt foarte folosite, mai ales datorita faptului ca sunt platite (o parte), iar ce e gratuit este relativ greu de folosit (mai ales in comparatie cu serviciile gratuite gen blogger sau cu un Wordpress instalat).
Ce as vrea eu sa vad este un WordPress Enterprise Edition. Chiar daca ar insemna sa platesc ceva bani in plus, o versiune speciala pentru companii, cu bloguri interne si externe (atat de “placutele” CEO blogs) ar fi foarte buna.
Technorati este cel mai bun serviciu de indexare a blogurilor din lume.
Daca vreti sa aflati cateva detalii despre acest serviciu, cititi interviul dat de catre David Sifry, creatorul acesui serviciu, lui Guy Kawasaki.
Ce mi-a atras atentia:

In cinci minute, deci, de la momentul in care dati ping la technorati, sunteti deja in indexul lor. Asta este foarte important, avand in vedere ca din ce in ce mai multi romani folosesc Technorati. Mai mult, tagurile devin foarte importante, pentru o mai corecta indexare.
Si, cel mai important, David Sifry ofera cateva sugestii pentru o mai buna indexare in Technorati:

Daca sunteti interesati de situatia din Orientul Mijlociu, mai ales de informatii care sa nu vina din gura autoritatilor, cititi ceea ce vine din tastatura bloggerilor de-acolo.

This morning on the East Coast, we’re greeted with: Open confrontation between the Israeli Army and Hizbullah on the Lebanese southern borders.
Ashrafieh was hit with 4 bombs destroying two trucks. Apparently trucks now are military targets and need to be avoided at all costs. I wonder now how humanitarian aid will get to the battered southern villages.
For all those from the south, my heart goes with you. The death toll and destruction is greater than anyone can fathom. 23 have died and tens wounded by overnight shelling of ten houses in Srifa. And then Salaa was targeted; a two-storey house collapsed on its occupants killing a family of 10 who were buried under the rubble.

Sounds strange, isn’t it? :) Well, it might not be that strange when you will find out that US Government wants to promote a law that will ban online gambling in USA.
Representatives voted 317-93 to ban online gambling today in a law that many are calling “simply unenforcable”.
You have to understand that, though it sounds stupid, a similar law has been passed in Washington State so, this is possible.
As a consequence, I say we should start, in Romania, special internet-cafe’s for the US citizens fleeding to calmer waters in order to keep their addiction alive.
