Cum gandesc inginerii in Silicon Valley despre participarea lor in start-up-uri

Una Alta · November 21, 2011

Amazon.com, Rober Spector

“You figure that a start-up in Silicon Valley will have a lifetime of two to five years, and only one in twenty make it”, said Kaphan’s colleague. “So, from an engineer’s point of view, if you want to become a millionaire, you don’t want to stay with one compoany for 10 to 20 years because the company is likely to go belly up. What you want to do is find the new start-ups, get vested in with them, and stay with them for three or four years. You figure a working life of 20 years, you’re likely to run though 10 companies. That actually gives you a good chance of succeeding at one of those companies.”

Este o bucata din Amazon.com, de Robert Spector. E un mod de a gandi care s-ar putea sa nu se potriveasca foarte mult cu ce se intampla in Romania, dar este o mostra de gandire in cea mai dinamica zona din tech-ul mondial.
